It's interesting -- I only play Wordle on hard mode, so these "restrictions" seem perfectly good and fine to me. I guess if you're not used to it they seem onerous. Though I guess to be fair Wordle doesn't force hard mode, so it seems this version shouldn't either.

You could just keep guessing words which have all grayed out letters. The only way this version works is using the 'hard' mode.
