I was recently at the Getty Villa where they have many of these in display. Really fascinating to see such realistic paintings of people from ancient times. Egypt at this time period was such a diverse mixture of people.


Fascinating to see what people really looked like two thousand years ago. Very much like the Greeks and middle East people nowadays.
