Question: Preview used to have automatic detection for "lines" and stuff so you could click on one and it'd create a text box for you to start typing, correctly sized and everything. For some reason this seems to no longer work for me. Has anyone else had success with this in the recent past?
I think form detection has to do with how the source PDF is saved, such as if the PDF is flattened. Also, this feature doesn't work with some other formats, like JPEGs. If it's not working, there is a text box tool in the markup toolbar.
