At Vana, our mission is to shift the flow of data for a more prosperous world. Our platform empowers users to reclaim their data from siloed services (like the social networks) and put it to work for themselves, from making money by renting/selling it, gaining useful insights from it, and bringing it to different services. In the future, we'll provide users with tools to permission data on source platforms (e.g. guides for how to turn off Alexa's auto-transmission of all recordings), as well as a smart-contract based system to permission their data on the Vana data marketplace. We use the most progressive, production-ready/proven technologies including NextJS, Apollo, xstate, Chakra UI, framer-motion, and Hasura. As we integrate more web3 technologies (out of actual technical necessity, not just for the sake of slapping a buzzword on), we are carefully evaluating all options in the space.

Jobs we are hiring for: 1. A front-end engineer who: a. Knows css like the back of their hand, b. Has significant experience with chakra UI, styled-components/emotion, or another css-in-js library, c. Is a react expert (>=3 years).

2. A full-stack engineer who: a. Has been using NextJS for at least 2 years and fully understands all the advanced features it offers, including SSR and API functions. b. Has been using Apollo for GraphQL for at least 3 years and understands how to use features such as optimistic updates. c. Really nice-to-have, but very unlikely: experience with the JS library "xstate".

3. A web3 engineer who: a. Has been writing solidity for at least 2 years, ideally 4 or 5, b. Has worked on solidity optimizations and security checks.

4. A web3-native JavaScript/TypeScript engineer who: a. Has used alchemy or similar tools extensively (and in a production environment). b. Has a great sense of the ecosystem and what tools exist.

5. A data visualization expert who: a. Has written code to generate beautiful data visualizations. b. Has come up with ideas for what should be visualized from a set of data.

6. An integrations engineer who: a. Can understand external APIs with minimal/bad/no documentation b. Can create JSON schemas from documents.
