Not to take anything away from rich/textual which are awesome, but you can produce a SVG directly if you're using xterm¹. It doesn't produce the cleanest SVG output, but it is quite workable.

The dump-html function also exists in xterm, should you want to remember what XHTML looks like ;)

It would be amazing if either could be used to make quick animated and automated session logs for demos or to attach to bug reports.
