Popcap was always a for profit startup, no? Or at least it was for the majority of its time before acquisition, I’d think. Their games were all micro iAP freemium sort of stuff I think.
Nope. I paid once for Plants vs Zombies 1 and played it as much as i liked. Then the EA acquisition came and they went IAP and i got a code to continue to play without IAPs. But it only worked on one of my iOS devices not all, like the initial purchase from independent PopCap.
