Could the world survive and thrive on a reduction of air travel to the same 24 hour period once a week? Would the decreased fuel have a significant environmental and fuel price impact? Would it reduce the risk of spreading harmful viruses such as the last version of Covid? Would your business be able to adapt?
Many business trips do not last a week. What is the traveler supposed to do on the remaining days? You referred to "commercial" air travel. Who is going to verify the purpose of a trip?
In general, if you think air travel should be reduced for environmental reason (I don't), a tax on jet fuel would make more sense.
