Bitcoin is a bunch of integers with hashes. It's not property for any real meaning of property.

Bitcoin is knowledge of private keys. It's property in the sense that said knowledge can be used to sign transactions that transfer ownership.

That's just regular public/private cryptography. Bitcoin is not required for that.
