I've begrudgingly been doing leetcode for the last few weeks in prep for looking for a new job. And a lot of it is stuff that I have never needed in 20+ years of coding.

But I will say reviewing the graph algorithms hasn't been a complete waste of time. It's good to at least know what they are, what they can do, and what their tradeoffs are. I realize I was a bit fuzzy on these.



Same. Some of the the questions/solutions are very aesthetically pleasing. While I find it pretty satisfying, I still have a million things I'd rather be doing.


I should also add that of the several interviews I've done so far all but one asked practical implementation questions. And the one that did ask more leetcode style questions only asked easy ones.

It would be different if I were applying at FAANG style companies I'm sure.
