Jordan's serious tone, compared to his usual absurdity, is appropriate for the seriousness of this abuse of power. This is bullying of the press and illustrates that civility is only reserved for the News Corp press and not independent journalists.
From the filings against them though, the charges were brought because of a statement from Barilaro and nothing else.
Maybe we're all missing something but seems a bit suspect that you can have someone charged with just a statement, also, stalking ? I don't know the legal definition for it but if you're a reporter and chasing up on news in public spaces, could you be charged for stalking ?
The first part of the video accuses the arresting officers of assault and bad behavior, but it's pretty clear the arrestee tries to pass his phone to his family and that his family tries to hide it from the officers.
Lots of hyperbole over what looks like correct officer conduct.
I couldn't watch the rest as it lost credibility after that.
Fair enough, first few lines of an article are enough for you to understand it all too I guess.
The issue isn't about the phone or even the arresting officer tbh. They're just doing what they're told. Its about being charged over the statement of a politician.
That whole saga stinks to high heaven.
