I have heard this many times - don’t run a db in production in a container - and to me it is sign of something is wrong with the whole k8s docker thing yet no one appears to be able to explain exactly why? Other than just be safe ...
To me kills off the main goal. That what we work with in test and development is exactly the same as what runs in production. And just leaves us with the considerable added overhead of new tools and abstraction.
