They make small fiberglass sections that are threaded. You can assemble them together (even in tiny spaces) and push them through wall cavities until you get to your destination. Then you use the rod to pull the new wire (or a piece of string) backwards. I've done this to pull through walls with insulation quite often. I've even used them to fish through all sort of crazy places. It's fast and easy once you get the hang of it.
