As someone with an irresponsible amount of IOT devices, I try to hardwire everything to avoid being 'that asshole' on the block. I have my wifi decluttered to being just my phone, work laptop (when I bring it home), my boyfriend's phone, and two bluetooth wireless headsets for our two computers.
I have 3 music receivers (for android casting), 7 TVs, weather station, coffee maker, fridge, google home controlled lights (40ish), and other stuff all hardwired. A lot of which I had to modify or build the controllers myself to get them off wifi. The lights all run off POE.
