When it comes to "unpopular" ideas and peoples, fear and moral superiority justifies:

censorship -> incarceration -> extermination

The path is plausible and logical if each previous step fails. And heck, the ends (protecting people from hate) justify the means, so why fret over it? I mean, what could go wrong?
