We will make a standalone announcement mid-February, but in advance of that let me share that we have built a replication format into the rsync.net platform that lets you schedule automated cloning of repos from any source (private, github, gitlab, etc.) on whatever schedule you choose.
It includes API options that allow you to back up "extras" like issues, the wiki, etc. LFS is also supported.
So, while you've always been able to do things like this:
... you can now supply a list of repos and access tokens/keys (presumably read-only) and set up a central store of git-based assets that updates on a schedule.
