A famous Norwegian professor of social medicine, Per Fugelli, once told a story in a talk that has stuck with me for some reason; Per was talking to a taxi driver, and the driver told him that he was having surgery on his heart valve. Per asked if he was scared , and the driver looked at him and said "No, Per, would you like to know why?
