The best thing about this is being able to run natively iOS apps (with new chips). I'll probably never open another Electron app on desktop again.

Wonder how the file management works.

Does that mean we can run Slack iOS app on Mac Silicon? That'll be great, if its possible. Slack Electron mac app consumed too much battery.

I was struggling to think of an actual use-case for running iOS apps on a Mac, but this is an interesting one

I predict with enough time this will become a standard practice. So much so that in enough time, many company's will stop supporting Intel on Mac entirely (aka, <2020 Macs)

Yes.

Isn’t Slack on iOS just a webview?

Nope, it's a native app. It used to look like one too before they ruined it.

This is only true for Apple Silicon Arm macs though.

So current Intel Macs can’t run iOS apps?

Nope, they aren't providing emulation of arm64 on x86_64.

_Theoretically_ Catalyst was the solution to this, but nobody (except Twitter, badly) went this route.

No, unfortunately.

electron -> react native ;) javascript is eating the world.

Eating the world’s ram, you mean.

Yep! But you know what I mean here instead.
