Such a mistake. The language doesn’t need any of this complexity. The language doesn’t even need classes.

If people want to program Java they should program Java. Pretending the language is something it isn’t by adding more semantics on top of syntax sugar is a colossal fail to appease the most insecure of developers. Historically, adding new features to a technology solely to appease the least secure of users never results in success even if the demands appear popular in a given moment.

And now I must cry into a pillow.
