To be fair, most ex-anything do not give good prognosises for the ex-employer. At least not those you hear from. It's similar to the effect that there is always somebody who has predicted the latest catastrophe, election, winning numbers etc.

when I was at intel (a decade ago) they told us that they are very comfortable because they have 6 years of headstart in manufacturing
