I sincerely wish for Democratic Governors to threaten to barricade voters in their states' Republican districts so that they don't get to the polling stations. Because what Trump is doing is simply the equivalent of this. No one asks if roads turn a profit.

The liberal answer is always violence. See: Portland and Seattle.

That's why they turned out at the Michigan capitol with AR-15s to protest the lockdown, right?

The conservative answer is always cheating and subversion which is why liberals are forced to violence. Otherwise, the conservatives will happily own slaves, disenfranchise women, kill/convert homosexuals, outlaw abortion and in general, take us back to the 17th century.

Slave ownership was championed by the Democrat party. Study your history better.

The modern-day conservative wouldn't have been a 19th-century Republican. Study the Southern Strategy.

Filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964:

By Democrat Senator Robert C. Byrd who was in the Klu Klux Klan:

And who was friend and mentor of Hilary R. Clinton:

All true, but again, look up the Southern Strategy.

Today's Democrats would not be comfortable in the Democratic Party of the sixties.

Today's Republicans would not be comfortable in the Republican Party of the sixties.

Senator Byrd, in particular, is an interesting case study in the swing that happened in the parties between the 60s and today. The story of how he went from the guy who filibustered the Civil Rights Act to a guy who scored 100% agreement with the NAACP on legislative initiatives is a fascinating microcosm of American politics during that time period.
