I sincerely wish for Democratic Governors to threaten to barricade voters in their states' Republican districts so that they don't get to the polling stations. Because what Trump is doing is simply the equivalent of this. No one asks if roads turn a profit.
The conservative answer is always cheating and subversion which is why liberals are forced to violence. Otherwise, the conservatives will happily own slaves, disenfranchise women, kill/convert homosexuals, outlaw abortion and in general, take us back to the 17th century.
Today's Democrats would not be comfortable in the Democratic Party of the sixties.

The story of how he went from the guy who filibustered the Civil Rights Act to a guy who scored 100% agreement with the NAACP on legislative initiatives is a fascinating microcosm of American politics during that time period.
