Families are being separated. Kids are aging out and are having to self deport.

I personally aged out, but was lucky enough to be able to stay in the US through H1B. However, this just means that the whole process for getting a GC starts from scratch. I came here at the age of 9 and America is the only place I think of as Home.

Why does no one care that this is happening?

We are held as indentured servants waiting forever to get our GCs and our freedom. My parents are still waiting after 13 years with no end in sight. Since I am restarting the process, my wait time could be upwards of 40 years.

Why do the companies allow it to keep happening? Do they not care about what this does to their employee's mental health?

Immigrants have helped build this country and the companies that make it great. Why does no one speak for us?

More talent coming to the US means more jobs, more innovation, and better quality of live for everyone. It should be in the companies best interest to speak up and work with the government to formulate a plan for immigration instead of just being along for the ride.

Instead, they stay quiet. They let us suffer because they know that if one of us has to go back we will soon be replaced by another immigrant.

Please speak up. Please participate in the legislative process and help pass reforms.

S368 was blocked last year by Senator Dick Durbin. It's not perfect, but it was a step towards equality by removing country based limitations on GC.
