By the way - the best part of being a parent is getting to be the best teacher you never had. I love it. I taught my daughter to read at three(it was a lot of work every day and it took patience, perseverance, and commitment - not easy for either of us) , we have been coding together for a year or so with Scratch, we talk about philosophy and life, and I work really hard to understand what she's excited about and then to channel it into things I think will help her have a better life. I'm helping her to reach her best potential (I hope) and in the process she is helping me to reach my own. I know I'm lucky, I have a great child but my goal is to also make her lucky by having a great parent.
