As a self taught engineer, very unhappy to see the role of a 'relevant Bachelor’s degree' stated in every single level. If I have performed above expectations in an engineering role for 5 years, do not have a bachelor’s degree, and I am judged against it, it is not a company I would be working for. Most companies acknowledge this and allow the substitution of a 'relevant Bachelor’s degree' by experience.

It should say "or equivalent working experience" which is what the job descriptions on the careers page say. https://www.smartrecruiters.com/Square/743999692210768

I work for Square, we just hired a self-taught engineer on our team. There's no concrete degree requirement. :)
