Ordered the new part but the connecter was wrong. So I cut the connectors off and spliced the old to the new and voila! Whole thing cost me $11. Quite empowering.

I talked with my GF about this. She said that "My boyfriend fixed my fridge the other day" is the ultimate boast nowadays.
