Sure, but those are usually not chatbots per se, but rather simple commands. The Wikipedia bot, for example, only performs a search on the website (and is less useful than the actual search when it does not directly find a page).
Oh, I guess since I was interacting with a bot in a chat I got confused. So in this case I guess it's just kids continuing their time honored tradition of mirc style bots...
