I think this comparison doesn't make much sense. jQuery is a low level lib aimed at providing something that is easier to use than the DOM API while doing mostly the same. Vue.js is in a completely different league. It's like comparing apples with oranges.

He's not comparing jQuery with Vue, he's asking which one is easier to learn for a beginner.
