It's not that simple. At least now you had one set of rules, and under them you could've operated in whole EU by passporting your licence. Now there will be two separate ones. If you want to expand from UK, or vice-versa enter UK, you need to do twice as much work in terms of regulations. This is especially applicable for fintech startups, which are very prominent in UK.
