Well, the boy is indeed very naughty. But his behaviour or temperament is very likely to be caused by the environment he is livening in (ie. his family and social background).
One obvious inappropriate thing his mom has done is that the mom chooses to threaten the son when he did anything wrong. Threatening only creates fear. And fear is no good, because it will most likely make the son more rebellious. An alternative would be love and care. To have a deep talk with the son, to find out what the root cause of his rebellious reaction is and to help the son cope with the society better may be a bette method. When America has an alarmingly high psychiatric problem rate, it is clear that most of them are not caused by genetics, meaning, they can be changed for good.
Surely, the mom has tried to talk to the son. But the depth of the talk is questionable, simply because when the mom finds it urgent to have a serious conversation with the son, the son may have already developed a distrust against the mom, and the talk can be very difficult.
When the mom gives up to call the police, even the 13-year old son may yet to have a serious mental problem, he will develop one.
We live because we enjoy living, everyday, every hour and every second, not limited by the day of success, nor shall we be burdened by the occurrence of failure. We work because we enjoy doing so; we enjoy to know the fact that we are spending our time meaningfully. Success serves the role of imforming us that we are heading to the correct direction, and failure just tells us to change our direction. That's it. Nothing much.
I am thinking what if someone buys branded clothes from this website and sell it in other second-hand market, the cost of one button is only one dollar which I think is too cheap?
How about using the library system, having a certain amount of deposit on the account, if the user lost the clothes then the presumed value of the clothes will be deducted from her account?
Merely complaining about the standard tests does not help. Unless, students and teachers make a protest against it, eg all students decide to score zero marks for a national test. But that is very unlikely to happen, some people are very stubborn about the test system because they get the tricks, they can do well in it.
What a better way of changing the education system is to start a new private school applying a better education system and to get good results in a sense that high percent of students become the top leaders in their arena; to show the education ministry what a better education system is like ( the education ministry is surely aware of the complaint from the public, the only reason they have not changed the system yet is that they really don't what kind of system would be better).
I think creating a game for the sole reason of inculcating the simple concept of gravitation into the kids is kind of inappropriate. It costs them more time to be wasted on the game that that takes for them to simply learn it from the textbook. If additional features like the extent of effect of gravitation in relation to the mass of the planet and the travelling speed of the bird are added, again, that will make the game complicated and less interesting to play.
Right, you expect children to be more interested in learning about gravity from a textbook over a game they might have fun playing? Most of the best learning tools I've seen are presented as games with a solve problem get reward mechanic.
