Trump is being charged for misconduct, not because he is a political opponent. Biden would probably prefer to face Trump again, seeing how he's already beat him once before, and so many people dislike Trump, he's likely easy to beat again. Attributing this result to anything other than justice finally catching up with Trump is conspiratorial thinking.
