I really enjoyed Claude Code. I was using it on some side projects for about a month with API credits, and I signed up for the Max subscription shortly after it started working with Code. Overnight, my account was banned, and I have no idea why.

It sucks getting banned from such a cool and helpful tool :(

I had two accounts banned - one for Claude and one for the API. I tried to appeal both asking for more information. The response from Anthropic was non-specific and only that it violates usage. One account had only been minimally used. One never used. The accounts used email addresses using a domain I control - e.g., anthropic-claude@domain.xyz for example. I think that might have something to do with it.

I have a new account now using a Google account and it hasn’t been banned.

Did the program need to kill child processes a lot?

nope, just running and stopping dev servers. It may have done a pfkill once or twice if something was hanging?

Either way, using it was the API credits was fine for a little over a month, so I don't know if it was that. I got autobanned only a few hours after paying for Max and reauthing the client to use the subscription. My actual usage of it didn't change.

Wahpedia has a pretty unusual Warhammer 40k dataset

Damn, I wish I’d known this existed. I ended up building a parser for the raw battle-scribe xml files

that's honestly a better route. battlescribe has more data, but the schema is a nightmare and gives me headaches.

any CFAA concerns when used in the wrong place and found out (airplanes)?

I'm not encouraging anyone to use this by saying this but WhatsApp traffic it's encrypted and the traffic through the socket its also encrypted, I guess you can't get in trouble for sending and recieving lots of weird messages? Again, intended for educational usage

that's a lot of words to say "yes, an overzealous prosecutor could try and make a case using the CFAA", but that's because the CFAA is a bullshit overly-broad law. that it's bullshit doesn't change the threat to the prosecuted, unfortunately.

you are totally right

not CFAA concerns, but you'd probably be in violation of the WhatsApp TOS: "… (d) interfere with or disrupt the safety, security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, or performance of our Services; …"

disclaimer: IANAL

Yes, in the own project there is a disclaimer that using this software might get your WhatsApp account banned so use with caution, and anyways is just a fun project for educational purposes. But good to know ofc

You've stumbled upon a door where your mind is the key. There are none who will lend you guidance; these trials are yours to conquer alone. Entering here will take more than mere logic and strategy, but the criteria are just as hidden as what they reveal. Find yourself, and you will find the very thing hidden behind this page. Beyond here is something like a utopia - beyond here is what.cd

This is a mirage.

this is game is why i figured out how to use xdotool to make an autoclicker

it would be even easier to start with how current cost education is handled. my student loan situation would be much better if my advisor at my state uni had actually been incentivized to be an advisor. instead she put off meeting with me until the second semester of my senior year. note i didn't say last semester of my senior year.

to be very honest, if this is all it takes, it's the easiest gov form i've ever filled out. i'm loving it

too bad it loads 3 trackers and puts all your personal data into salesforce. i think governments shouldn't be allowed to share personal data like this with corporations--e.g., software/servers should have to be on-prem.

i agree. i agree. i agree.

i also know that the interested parties already have my info and that i would like the 20k writedown. it really does suck

I don't know how the science side of it works out in the real world, but the Snowpiercer take on this is pretty terrifying

But it made for a pretty great TV show and a not bad film though!

Joking aside this is a really fascinating, it’s just a shame we have to experiment in it with an N of 1

How will this apply when a 3rd party slips an airtag in to track the traveler (ex. SO, PI, stalker)? This seems like a great way to potentially mess with someone they don't want flying around.

idk about offensive, but "why" questions can come across as more accusatory/interrogative depending on the context/relationship
