Allright, it means youtube is soon gone for me: deno is just a front-end to the abominations of the web engines from the whatng cartel. It would be a good compromise if I could have such an engine which I could build with a simple C compiler. You have modern javascript engines implemented in C, but no web engine, "la creme de la creme" of software abominations.
Just a few weeks/months ago, gogol search was blocked to noscript/basic (x)html browsers (I have witness gogol agenda about this unfold over the last few years).
Will use yt-dlp(zero whatng) until it breaks for good I guess.
The US administration failed to regulate the market domination of youtube with enforced simple and stable in time technical standards (what Big Tech hates). I don't blame them, since those nasty guys are smart border-line crime lords (and for sure serial offenders in EU).
Is there any other ways, non Big Tech ways, to access Sabine H. content? Or should I said good bye right now?
The change includes the ability to point yt-dlp at a Deno or Node binary of your own choice, which, in principle, allows someone to use a different runtime so long as it provides everything the script needs to run successfully.
Don't use microsoft github: they recently broke noscript/basic (x)html support for their issue system. They are going fully whatng cartel web engines... what did you expect from microsoft?
Proton titles on steam are illegal in tons of countries: there is no official support and real money is involved. Some say there is some special refunding policy with proton titles: well I have not seen any "legally binding" document about a game patch or a proton patch killing your game for good on elf/linux, and that anytime during the life cycle of the game. Only whining when that happens, no official support to turn to.
Basically PROTON = ZERO BUCKS is the only sane way. I am playing proton titles: gacha games which are kind of free-to-play friendly, well... those without 'anti-non-steamdeck-elf/linux' software like ACE(cf WuWa). They have the windows whales to finance them already, and we are only penguins which dislike to be scammed.
But now elf/linux people will be able to buy this game with the legally required official support.
This game is really not my thing, but I'll go back to banging my head against the wall and throwing my keyboard thru the window, aka I am going back to play silk song natively on elf/linux available since day one of its release (well, this is a unity game, then ez).
RISC-V going forward, one of the only beacons of hope in the silicon world.
I need one of such devices for my self-hosted services. And it will be time to port from C to assembly, really, because we have finally a CPU ISA which is 'sweet spot' balanced, standard, global, pushed forward with significant resources and without IP locks anywhere. No more developer/vendor lock-in via "the only compiler able to generate correct machine code", extremely hard to do planned obsolescence, etc, we need mainstream adoption NOW :)
The main blocker: how do I buy such device with a noscript/basic (x)html browser? And no way I use a credit card on a web site: would require well identified bank swift account, or wallet codes bought from local and physical currency terminals. I don't know of any local retailers I can buy such device from. Yep, the "web geniuses" at amazon (which supports wallet code) broke noscript/basic (x)html support a few years ago.
I use Privacy.com to get temporary credit cards, to avoid the hassle of compromised credit card numbers, although it doesn't stop various governments from tracking my transactions.
I've bought RISC-V SBCs from both Pine64.com and Arace.tech, and neither required I make an account. Arace.tech does require JavaScript to checkout, but Pine64.com does appear to work without it, although I didn't complete a transaction without it. Pine64.com also accepts USDC payments, but no other cryptocurrency.
Real ML is data center based, then, until you have enough electricty production and performant cooling, you could have 28nm ML chips, it should not matter in the end. But while doing that, China should not forget to keep doing its R&D for 2N/18A tooling (include EUV).
Namely, you should be able to dodge the usage of "nearly whole wafer" ML chips manufactured with a 18A/2N process. At a price of a more ML time with more energy consumption.
