Did you look at ZomboDB? It allows you to use Elasticsearch as a native Postgres index type.

There are quite a lot of arguments supporting this view, see e.g. "Jon Stewart, War Criminals & The True Story of the Atomic Bombs" [1].

Blue/green deployment is often used. There are always two instances of the app running, with one of them handling requests.

You deploy to the other one, do a health check, warm it up and start routing to it.

No downtime.

What's even more fascinating to me is that the Köln Concert is just one of many long-form improvisations he did and, arguably, far from the best one.

In roughly the following order, I recommend:

Paris, 1988

Vienna, 1991

Lausanne, 1973

Sun Bear Concerts, 1976 (5(!) concerts in 14 days)

Bremen, 1973

La Scala, 1995

Munich, 1982

...and so on.

If you _get_ Jarrett, it's a love affair for life.

Google Maps is useless for biking or hiking. Barely usable, perhaps, for road cycling.

I have yet to find a better one than Mapy.cz. Great app, offline regional maps and (subjectively) beautiful map aesthetics.

Nobody is preventing you from paying more. Problem solved.

Exactly. Specifically, for biking or hiking, Google Maps are useless. Mapy.cz can be downloaded (in region chunks) for offline use and are generally a pleasure to use.
