If you're well-versed in HDFS and are passionate about creating the next generation of distributed object store for the Hadoop ecosystem, we'd love to talk. If direct HDFS experience isn't in your thing, a strong, demonstrable history of building distributed systems and fundamental file systems knowledge can substitute.
Our contributions will be completely upstream, public, and open source -- directly on the Ozone project. You must be comfortable working in the open and collaborating with others in this kind of large, complicated project. It certainly helps if you're already an advocate of open source technology and have a track record of working in the open.
Our open source program is a fully distributed team and will continue to be after COVID. We plan to hire a range of full-time and part-time roles to fulfill the work we'd like to achieve.
