HER (YCS15) | Senior Full Stack Engineer | San Francisco | Onsite | $100-150k
Her is helping lesbian and bisexual women across the world meet each other. With over 400 million women identifying as LGBTQ, no one has ever built a product for this female audience before. It was the most underserved market in the social and dating areas until Her came along to own the space.
Our stack is in GoLang, PHP & MySQL with an iOS client & Android being built right now.
We're a small team on 3 engineers so there's a chance to really come in early and work to shape and scale our company as we launch Android and grow internationally.
We're a culturally diverse team that would love someone to join who cares about building and shipping something with impact.
What we’re up to: Her is helping women meet each other. Right now we’re completely focussed on the lesbian & queer community. We look closely at how women use products and communicate differently, to create an app that makes it as easy as possible for women to start talking to each other. No matter where you live in the world or what your sexuality is, we’re the app that helps you meet other women.
We’re coming out of YC now & have previously been funded and are looking for more team mates as we’re growing real fast.

I used to use an electric blanket and would always forget to turn it off and even worse - drift off before turning it off - waking up in the middle of the night piping hot. Plus, setting a temperature that is best to sleep at, not just nice when you get into bed, could have a huge impact on sleeping. I'm all for it.
This would happen to me as well! I tried all the different heating blankets and covers and that was a recurring issue. We hope to solve this with sensors and software.
