Why is rapidly decelerating on the highway not a safety risk? Pileups happen because of this

A car slowing down from wind resistance will not be slowing down more rapidly than the car behind it can use friction brakes

There are documented accidents where this happened and the car was then rear-ended.

Speed differential kills on the highway. Loss of ability to accelerate can quickly get you in a dangerous situation where it’s very hard to get to the break-down lane, for example, if you are in a middle lane and traffic is passing on the right and left as you continue to lose more and more speed, now people are swerving to get aronund you, etc.

Ford knew this was dangerous. Their own legal team rated it as a “FMEA severity 10” fault which is the highest severity fault which “effects safe vehicle operation and involves non-compliance with government regulation without warning.” [1]

All client side code is available to read, and all network requests can be viewed in developer tools of most browsers (including options to go offline so you dont need to disconnect from the internet altogether but still see requests being sent)

Pushbullet seems to be doing alright

Yeah it certainly seems like whoever wrote this doesn't know much about react

comes from vfx/the film industry. matte paintings being backgrounds and the shot being filmed in front being 'matted'

i use the web client all the time and greatly prefer it to skype and even discord (which doesnt seem to like my audio drivers sometimes)

While the product categories differ, the exorbitant price asked makes this 'raw water' target the same demography: those who have more money than sense and those who use these products for the purpose of affluence signalling.

Even though i purchase nearly everything online these days, record stores are a nice experience. hunting in amoeba bins just cant be replaced even if it isnt the cheapest way by far.

I'm with you on the record shop experience. You can't beat digging about shelves and boxes of vinyl. I don't mean the big high street chains like HMV or Virgin (bleh), but the small to medium size store (unfortunately killed off by the likes of HMV/Virgin) where the owner and staff had truly amazing knowledge about what they were stocking.

bcuz anything with governments and ufos is basically printing money
