It sucks that Firefox 4 won't have sockets because of transparent proxies. I feel like that's sort of an edge security case just cause those proxies can't be that popular, but then again I might just be ignorant of something.
I am actually sort of worried why the chrome team hasn't announced handling this. I searched google for a response from the chrome team but I guess they didn't think it warranted one.
I would seriously appreciate a reply here cause I really have no clue at all as to why my previous comment is being downvoted. It isn't offtopic, since the root comment mentions how the software is using websockets. It isn't rude to either the firefox or chrome development teams, as I said I can't really judge how severe the security problem is. So how on earth am I offending people?
For some reason, there seems to be an more random downvotings by members just because they can.. So, I often see interesting and on topic answers like yours first being downvoted and then upvoted...
I wonder what could be done by pg to counter that? Maybe have a limit of numbers of downvote per day?
Essentially I'm saying that the developers/distributors that make these kind of products will find a way to reach their customers some way or another. Just because microsoft makes this statement may indeed hinder the market from developing in the early beginnings. But it will not stop the perverts in the long run. Not that I'm against this product in any particular way - as I think people are to be free to explore their sexual fantasies. I am saying however, that the market will be (probably) too big to be ignored.

Maybe not a new currency. But Paypal truly has showed weakness when bending over for a government without any juristic evidence. I mean, Paypal as the #1 international internet pay-service (as I see them) is basically compromising their entire credibility over one political case. One can only wonder how much pressure the Government had put on them. So while a totally new currency maybe would be taking it a bit too far - a 100% independent online pay-service/transaction-service, explicitly stating their i political independence would be up for a timely launch now. Kind of like a Swiss bank - but for online cash-flow.
