There's a big difference in wrong opinion and inciting violence. This isn't the government doing this. This is private companies taking action against the spread hate and lies. These are companies I want to do business with.

[flagged]

They have clear rules against inciting violence that were clearly violated. That's a good line to draw and enforce.

> Where do you draw a line?

Somewhere on the right side of "storming Congress with a mob".

I mean, the Capitol attack on Wednesday is where I draw the line, and Stripe seems to have drawn it the same way.

To be fair, the README says "can be" self hosted.

Yes, it was real. While in college, I was working as a programmer (Perl mostly) for a book publishing company and several database systems wouldn't boot up after the new year. It turned out they didn't bother upgrading their software. This was common, but by then, most software companies had patches available - probably because of the hype. In this case, I believe the fear provided by the media actually helped avoid a much bigger crisis.

AirBnB didn't fail. It has some work to do with managing fees, but overall, it provides a great service for people wanting a better or different experience than traditional hotels AND it's provide hosts with additional income at the same time. I much rather give my money to people needing extra savings than big business hotel chains.

I always look at Airbnb first when traveling because I value options like a kitchen where I can cook my own meals, a washer and dryer where I can wash my clothes, and a sofa to relax on.
