Agreed with all of the above points. Beautiful and easy to use.

The "You're doing great! To continue, you'll need to register or sign in. Otherwise all that awesome progress you've made will be lost. Sign In\Register (it's free)" dialog is most definitely a road block as there were no links available to go back to the home page.

Only two options were sign in or register. So yeah, there should be a cancel, or return to homepage

Nope, not a road block for me. By the time you get to that point, the user has already got a taste of the fruit; it's decision time. I registered.

I love this. Keep doing what you're doing, expand the library in a few months and contact foundations like Rockefeller for financial support if you need it.

Kudos! I'm excited.

awesome. we're adding the option to skip registering but we hope most people do what you do.

Just wanted to echo morrow's suggestion - inline registration is a perfect way of collecting and registering users. It's a natural flow, not jarring at all, and also almost endearing if I type my email into the terminal and I get an email in the background and continue working.

good idea, but just a thought - why not have registration go through the terminal as well? It seems you're only collecting email and password - why not just prompt for that without interrupting the flow of the lessons?

thanks, morrow, this is a great suggestion. we'll implement it once we finish adding more capacity and rewriting some of the stuff to lessen load.

Haven't felt like this, but as sp332 says "Programming is a big field". I would broaden that even further to I.T. Is a big field.

Why not think about such sub-categories such as DBA, Analysis/Reporting/Sharepoint Services developer, or even pre-sales roles. These involve some coding but a lot of customer interaction, giving advice/ideas, designing solutions and improving the customers business.

I'll second the pre-sales role - it's the first thing that came to mind when reading your post before any of the comments. Sales Consulting/Sales Engineering/Systems Consultant --- they are all mostly the same type of role with different titles. The pay can be lucrative and it's a great blend of different skills.

In one of your other comments, you mentioned "introvert" -- don't let this hold you back from a pre-sales type of role. It's very easy to be an introvert, but become very much an extrovert/good speaker when "doing your job."

cool, thanks

My interpretation of this "slight" is that Warren Buffett uses money as a measure of success. It does not imply any sort of lifestyle just that he strives to be more successful and that means having more dollars. After having read a biography on Mr. Buffett I agree with OP on this and disagree that it is "unmerited and undeserved"

Of course he uses money as a measure of success, he's an investor!

Buffet did an interview on CNBC some years ago where the question where he was asked about success and his reply was something to effect of "Success doing what you love and doing it well".

This rings true to me.

A little anecdote told by my father in law, who was Buffett's pilot for a time, tells of Buffett being welcomed home to Omaha by a hostess. On remarking that he'd lived in the same house for 50 years it's claimed she said "Gee! You must have a lot of equity in that house Mr. Buffett."

Whether this speaks to the unpretentiousness of Warren Buffett or the unworldliness of the hostess is an exercise for the reader.

An 11+ minute demo video? IMO it's a tad long, should be between 1-3 mins.

Also, perhaps the screenshots need captions explaining what they are? E.g. what's with the one of the faded out garden and the highlighted flower bush. I don't get its significance or what it is trying to show.

Then again I'm not your target market. Otherwise nice work.

That was my first recorded video and I preformed badly. Also it needs to be updated since the product has changed a lot from that version. The same for the photos. Thanks for remembering me of them :)

Looks pretty cool. Also agree with the video comment, I think you could cut it by at least half. With almost any video editing program you can add a voice-over track, that way you can retry as much as you want if you mess up.

Also wouldn't hurt to cut out the parts of the video where your internet dies, if not for time at least to make it seem more professional.

Being from New Zealand the first thing I look for on e-commerce sites is the currency of the quoted price and the availability (and charges if applicable) of international shipping.

I could find neither on your site.

Apart from that it's a great site and lots of fun designing different shirts. Hopefully I can buy something from you in the future :)

Got it, that's great feedback. Everything is in USD, and we do international shipping for $17 including duties.

I think it's worth posting the original here; http://www.zurb.com/article/623/clear-desk-clear-mind

I'm from one of those countries where 'color' is spelt 'colour' and I'm glad to see www.colour.com is owned by them also. I doubt it cost as much though.

It would also be interesting to see if searching for 'colour' in the respective app stores also brings you to 'color' so that they are truly interchangeable

Very interesting.

You got to take away Steve Jobs?!? :O :D

The new thinner lighter version.

Perhaps a case of selective hearing or hearing what was expected/wanted?
