vscode is always inserting itself between me and the code. bbedit strips away all of the crap and lets me write as i want to write.

no matter how many times i try to switch to vscode, i always come back to bbedit. no other editor i've tried feels as natural for coding – except maybe visual c++ back in the day.

chrome is blocking password resets due to a CORS issue.

is it strange to anyone else how similar the logos for https://streamlit.io/ and https://getstream.io/ are?

There's actually a funny story here, and one day we'll tell it in more detail.

TDLR: it's a coincidence / slightly obvious given our names. We discovered the similarity on the day we launched our logo, and it almost made us change our logo and/or company name XD

We have since met the getstream.io folks and had a good laugh about it together.

A example of how irrational hate can make smart people do stupid things, unfortunately.

Certain people on their team don't like the PGP standard despite the fact that it is mature, standardized, and proven to work well for code signing. When questioned about their reasoning, they'd usually deflect and criticize some aspect of PGP that is irrelevant to code signing at all.

In their minds, they believe it is better to rely on git's broken SHA1 fingerprints than to use PGP.
