the lazy load text effect when scrolling is a nice touch.

I thought the opposite, but maybe it's the out-of-date preference of an old man.

Being able to right click, Save image as.. is awesome.

Super unrelated, somehow this post crashes the Harmonic HN news app on Android when scrolling through the feed.

Not saying it's related, but 9/11 happened.

Perhaps a duopoly in domestic chip fabrication, with both Intel and TSMC operating fabs in the continental U.S.

I think klelatti is doubting whether AMD could trust Intel to pursue AMD's best interest.

Absolutely! Handing over your detailed product specifications and product plans to a direct competitor is inconceivable.

I’m 100% convinced now that an Intel split into foundry and CPU vendor is inevitable.

It’s a political if not a commercial necessity if Intel is to provide a viable alternative to TSMC.

Samsung manufactured for Apple for a long time. I don't think it's inconceivable.

That’s a fair challenge. I think it’s a little different though - the SoC was one component of the iPhone - so full details of the competing product weren’t being shared.

Plus when the relationship started volumes were small for both iPhone and Samsung phones. As we know Apple ended the relationship eventually.

I struggle to see Lisa Su handing this info to Intel even with some strong safeguards.

Intel contract manufacturing for AMD would be a fun turn of the tables.

Did they say that this will power the next (Google) Wave™? ;)

Would this also be a move to establish itself for the "Meta-verse" market?

Same experience for me. However, I started to be more diligent on tagging each Confluence page whenever I see them lacking and that definitely helps with the searches.

Cool. It would be nice to have a feature which can facilitate the logistics of wholesale bulk purchases (example, products from Costco).

We love the idea of group buying as we get a lot of product inspiration from Pinduoduo. We’ve spent a lot of timing thinking how to leverage the fun of group buying without the traditional discount incentive. It’s hard to do! The solution we launched with is ‘buckets’ (and we made an HN group here: https://chums.link/rBQ6). Groups can discuss products to buy together and make decisions together.

We’re open to all thoughts and suggestions though, and would love to hear more about your idea and the value you think you could get from it.

SPAC could be the "better" way perhaps.
