Please stop spreading generational divide. Those olds were burdened with this just like today's young. Somehow some people think olds had it easy. Housing issues are not us(young) vs them(old).

> Please stop spreading generational divide.

I have more things in common with any young person from the other side of the world than I have with the olds from my own nation, city or street. It is what it is.

The olds have been waging a vicious economic war of extermination against the young for the entire 21st century. And now the cycle has to stop, because there are almost no more youth to exploit, and will be even less in the future.

No previous generation behaved like the current olds. We have to be much better than them, and let their twisted ways be forgotten.

Just go for solar radio sync G-Shock square and you're done. No batteries, no setting up, extremely rugged and imo it looks good as well. Since I got that one a few years ago I only wear mechanical watch for various "occasions" - pretty much like a jewellery.

Congrats to GIMP devs and everyone involved. I love GIMP and have been using it for decades.

If you have a garden 8" Dobsonian or even larger if you can handle it. If in a flat a 4" Apochromatic refractor. Mars can be so so but good views of Jupiter, Saturn and Luna can be had in the UK. Both good for double stars as well and even deep sky objects if in a low light pollution area.

I just have to say. Such a beautiful and accessible website. No fluff, no ads, no distractions. I love it!

No HTTPS either

It does have HTTPS, just with a self signed cert. No auto-redirect though.

Doesn’t work well on mobile, though. Agree otherwise

As always, it depends, right? I'm perfectly happy with Linux and use it both for personal tasks and work. Office is in the cloud these days so that's covered. Our designers still use Windows or MacOS though.

What would the 'yes' be for mid 1440p card?

That fifth personal day can be quite lucrative with various one off projects. You can also be quite selective as you're covered financially and can choose those one off projects carefully to align with your values or whatever matters to you.

Same here. Almost 4 years now. Feel good at work and what I accomplish. Got steadily promoted with significant pay rises. Fridays are amazing. Drop kids at school, do some errands and code a little and then pick up the kids and spend time with family.

My job nowadays is not programming but managerial. I'm lucky that a company offers a lot of flexibility, the main one being office not mandatory, so there are no issues when personal matter comes and you need to go out or something. Good companies like that are out there.

That's interesting. What is the reason Harry Potter books are being banned?
