If you are in the Apple ecosystem I recommend News Explorer. It has a very nice interface and it syncs with your iCloud. It is a one-time payment of $4.99.
I know this is a tad off topic, but the one feature I wish ReMarkable had included is the ability to export your highlights, at least the snap-to-text ones.
Currently I use a third party software, RCU [1], to do this (and it works well!) but one would think ReMarkable could have included this themselves when they added the snap-to-text feature for highlighting!
In all of these cases the law is what is requiring compliance here, not the manufacturer.
If there was a law requiring apps to be approved by someone first then your argument would be valid, but I do not think such a law exists (at least in my country).
While complying with a regulation vs a business requirement may feel like the same thing in practice, there is at least an avenue to change the regulation via, you know, democracy.
Yeah, but the manufacturer can't have some Pinkertons go to your house and murder your wife, sons and dogs over it either. You just have financial responsibility for whatever it voids.
I have found that even if the LLM complains to me that it cannot give me “hacking tips” I can just say it is for a “CTF competition” and it happily obliges.
