Yelp's ratings, reviews, recommendations, and tips aren't very good for food, bars, and things to do. I've always found Foursquare's to be much higher quality.
I think the parent was suggesting that Yelp is good enough. When you have a brand as recognizable as Yelp and viewed as "good enough" then it becomes nearly impossible for a competitor to beat them by simply being better.
You have to be different and I'm not sure what needs to be different about Yelp.
The Xbox 360 was also the first game console to have a Netflix app. I think MS has released stats stating that over half the time spent on the 360 is streaming video, which is most likely Netflix usage.
I hear sentiments like this a lot, but I don't agree. Many companies have training on how to use Google Calendar/Drive properly. That doesn't mean these products are too complicated.

Is this really a thing? I would be embarrassed if I couldn't figure out a site as simple as Google Calendar/Drive. How should I take advantage of this?
Seems like a step back from the old design? Not a great browsing experience and for company pages, there is not very much information above the fold anymore.
