fascinating, I am indonesian and since I have spent majority of my life abroad, my indonesian has been stuck in the past. It's very colloquial as in, I cannot speak like a news caster, due to this, I tend to speak english to fellow indonesians simply because I dont know the formal words for ideas that I try to convey, but I can almost make every english word indonesian-ified.
FWIW, this is literally exactly how my product PretzelBox (https://pretzelbox.cc) works. We are looking for beta users, if you care to take it for a spin.
I'd say anything in the car, really, but mostly the stuff in front of your eyes. My car has some chrome-like trim on the steering wheel, gear shift, etc. (It's a cheap car, so this is not just a case of it being luxury trim.) The sun occasionally hits them at the right angle to blast straight into my eyes. It's not frequent, but in the wrong circumstances it could cause an accident. Even once is unacceptable.
One possible explanation is that Facebook in US is subject to more adversarial actors than other countries.
A propagandist-for-hire choosing to astroturf, conduct false flag campaigns, form vote brigades, etc. is more likely to target the US political market because -- globally speaking -- there's more political power at stake.
Whether FB can claim that as an excuse is another question.
I'm kind of glad I didn't splurge on too many guitar effects pedals back in the day. Behringer has cloned much of the BOSS line, now available at a fraction of the cost.
And if you're more of a bedroom musician, there's software that'll cover the majority of sounds, with a few oddball exceptions. That's why I mostly collect guitar pedals that aren't being made in software, or that I am too lazy to emulate by stringing multiple things together.
