I would add LG CX/C1 48 inch. The lowest price has come down to 1000 usd + tax around recent month. It has all the features and packs a top tier oled panel.
I started to use it a few years ago when it was the only distro runs flawlessly on my laptop. All other distros had various problems at the time. I think that's its killer feature, hassle free.
It's the only distro I would recommend to non tech people if they want to try out linux.
As a non smoker I agree. So now we just take round trip and go back to banning again? Should we go back to banning weed too? How about banning alcohol? I just don't understand how certain policy makers are thinking. Is this the new war on drug? Aren't restricting and economic incentives enough? Just why?
edit: the downvotes without comments are funny. Could downvoters comment, and let's have a healthy discussion about banning smoking/alcohol/weed?
This same country almost just passed a cannabis legalization referendum.
It brings to mind episode 8 from season 2 of Silicon Valley:
> When Jian Yang nonchalantly reveals Monica’s smoker status to one of her co-workers, Erlich scolds him. “This is Palo Alto,” he begins. “People are lunatics about smoking! We do not have the freedoms you have in China!” Sure enough, Laurie corners Monica at the end of the day to perform an “anti-smoking intervention” complete with stuffed animals and the now-immortal line, “No one ever died from secondhand heroin.”
Exactly. If they are so hardcore on smoking, how are they going to deal with other soft drugs? and hard drugs? It's like 'left' and 'right' have the same ban hammer with just different targets. Don't people see how damaging this is?
1. found out that the current position is not worth it
2. keep working as usual (don't overwork) and spend rest of the time interviewing
3. ???
4. profit
I am not sure if the referrals are that useful. For the last few months I applied to around 50 companies and all the companies with higher bars ignored my application and all the expected companies proceeded with it. My referrals basically did nothing. It certainly didn't help with the interview process since the companies only care about the interview performances.
I find it really annoying that the mac version of the IDEA shortcuts is totally different from others since I am using 3 platforms at the same time. In the end I settled with vscode set. And as a bonus I could use the same set for both idea/vscode :/
There isn't a unified set that works on idea afaik. They are very different unlike other sets which are just thumb on cmd vs pinky on ctrl. If there is one set works on win/linux/mac, let me know.
There are other factors other than time though. In current market it's important to get at least 2 or more offers for negotiation power. Otherwise you might(or will) get the minimum offer of the band, i.e getting lowballed. Therefore going through a few of interviews in the same time frame is very beneficial to the applicants.
