Wouldn't that would imply that Windows support is necessary for software to be good? Often it's easier to write good software when you target a specific platform (rather than spending time troubleshooting problems that occur across lots of different environments), and do it well.
I'm probably switching to Amd too in a month. I haven't upgraded since 2016 either. I was planning to go from 6700k to 14700k. Now I'm considering a 9950X if the pricing and performance are good. Think they're due in a couple of weeks. I'll be staying with nvidia though. Just hope pairing NVIDIA with Amd cpus won't cause issues.
Just because I can't stop a ship from sinking, it doesn't mean there's no point to trying to get off of it and encourage others I might reach to do the same.
You just need to first click on the scroller element and then you can start dragging it. And start by dragging up, not down. Otherwise the refresh might override the interaction
I can't see why the internet would reset us to the the bronze age. I think what they're saying is it's more likely to reset us to similar state to when the internet wasn't common-place, ie, the 80s.
I should've clarified - my memory is that even in the 80s the 'internet' wasn't that fundamentally-critical to typical daily behaviour. Heck, even the WWW took a while to roll into relevance.
I don't know why people are shocked by Apple anymore. We know exactly what to expect from them.
If you want to support a terrible company, then you can endure the terrible results.
What are we trying to achieve here? A u-turn on a terrible decision so that we can keep using Apples devices in complete ignorance for yet another decade or until their next disgusting move? How about we let them be terrible and go elsewhere?
No way I'm signing this, you've all made your bed now lie in it.
Your attitude is not helpful. Even if you choose to not use an Apple device, as a developer you do not get to choose the devices of your audience, and dropping every Apple user is a tough sell. Apple is also correct in that few people use PWAs, so they will get away with it, unless pressured otherwise.
