No support for free seems good but it's very hard to do. People will always look for support no matter if you say that you don't offer it. They will bash you on twitter or something. :)
I am not looking for a solution that tracks my whole life. Instead I would like to focus on health with Segment.com-like integrations into other services (https://segment.com/integrations) to always know what's going on with me.
When i make new web apps i usually suggest we use mixpanel for tracking events. It seems cleaner than using google analytic events even though in the past 2 projects i built we used the later.
I'm using Heroku for all my projects. I remember the times when we had to install rails on amazon ec2 servers. Pretty awful. Now there are still some new options out there that mimic what heroku does.
It's hard to build a team. We are working on that for 3 years now. Since we are in a developing country clients expect lower rates.
But you have to stick to your rates no matter what. Usually the good clients come once you can provide good quality work. Word of mouth is much powerful that anything.
