A simple google home app that triggered an IFTTT script. It allowed my kids to ask who was the best dad and say back my name. I was the coolest dad that day.
Corelogic | ML Scientist/Data Scientist | Onsite (CA,TX,CO, etc.)/REMOTE (USA) | Full-time |https://corelogic.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/USCAN
Corelogic is a leading provider of gold standard data, analytics and platforms for the property and related financial industries.
We are hiring ML/Data scientists to help us unlock the knowledge captured in our data. We are currently working with large amounts of imagery and text using deep learning, combined with ensemble and spatial models to explore and understand property data. If you're interested in building the latest models, like CLIP, we'd love to chat.
In order to bootstrap a computer vision model, I often find it useful to look through open datasets to find what I want. I realized it shouldn't be hard to collect a lot of them and make it searchable, so I made a page to do it for me. Feedback welcome!
CoreLogic | Data Scientist | Dallas, TX, San Deigo, CA | Full Time
CoreLogic is a leading provider of consumer, financial and property data, analytics and services to business and government. We largely serve the mortgage, insurance and property data markets.
We have an established data science team and are looking to add junior to senior-level data scientists. We've moved primarily to a Python based infrastructure, and actively seek to apply new machine learning methods to problems. We are especially interested in problems involving imagery, NLP/text, spatial, and graph data.
As an Okie and a tribal member, the situation is far more complex than what the news/wikipedia can describe. But I think that's mentioned here a lot- the news never does anything justice. The Indians do get billions handed out all the time -ihs.gov.
One of the fundamental issues I see in Oklahoma is the lack of rule of law. I'm not thrilled we're releasing child molesters (that's who filed the suit), but I suppose starting somewhere is good.
As for VC funding, I'd love to see more of that. I do computer vision/nlp for a living, and I've had to leave the state due to lack of work. It's cheap, there are smart people, but they all leave after school.
The suit doesn't claim he shouldn't be tried for his crimes. It claims he should be tried by a federal court, not a state court. Nobody is "releasing" any criminals here.
I have similar issues. I use a combination of kinesis advantage, penguin mouse, and dragonfly/DNS. Having a good microphone does make a difference, as does retraining/tweaking command vocab.
The biggest thing overall is the ergonomics of desk work - I take a break every 15 minutes (or try to) by setting timers.
This is akin to reviewing how well a screwdriver drives nails. Yes, it has problems. That doesn't mean it's a bad tool - you're just not using it right. Does it require discipline? Yes, but so does the screwdriver.
That being said, I think jupyter specifically has some legacy issues around format, and I prefer R markdown. As much as I love pycharm, it's never going to do more than replicate the notebook experience.
IMHO, the main author publishes on code UI/UX, the title seems more like click bait. Not sure why it's so upvoted.
The animosity towards OU parking is real. When I was there 15 years ago, the big deal was that fines were cheaper than a pass, so why bother? Parking costs are crazy for a suburban school, and parking enforcement is used as a money maker. Last I checked, they were building buildings in parking lots without replacing those spaces. <insert rant on the issues of higher ed financing>
