Not again... "Net Neutrality", whether you are for or against the policy, is just a terrible name. It is too ambiguous.

It's a very accurate label even if it is a bit imprecise since it doesn't convey anything about the nuances of the policy. You're probably not going to be able to come up with a better name that isn't much longer. Or did you mean that you'd prefer a policy without nuances?

What I mean is that last time there was an argument about "Net Neutrality" - you had people on this forum both arguing for "net neutrality" but on different sides of the nuanced policy. You could say that the "stupid wrong person" just doesn't understand the law - but that is my point - it's a bad name if both sides think it means what they want.

Yup. Just like "immigration reform".

If they change it you know how many conspiracy theories that’d open it up to?

The ambiguity is the point, unfortunately.

Also, in the analogy your chair comes with regular visits to do maintenance, improvements and add new features to your chair.

Also whenever you sit in the chair, there are real monetary costs to the chair maker.

What kind of work do you do?

Software eng. It's been amazing to have my terminal, IDE , github in Safari on one side, apple music in the back, news tickers above the screen, and being able to resize, bring them anywhere with me

Thanks.... I was hoping you'd say something that wasn't going to tempt me further.

Props to Brenden for the cool project but why is this a Business Insider article? How does that happen?

Why don’t you ask and tell us mailto:jmcgrath@insider.com

The Why Files did this episode last week (https://youtu.be/IQz7innxnms).

It is Atlantis under the ice, after all.

And EagleCam was not deployed at landing due to complications of the LIDAR software change, so instead of releasing EagleCam and not seeing the landing (due to the unexpected lateral movement), they can use the camera to confirm the status of the lander. So lucky.

The press conference for this was wild.

They discovered that they were in a more elliptical orbit than they wanted, so they did a burn to correct it and fired up their laser range sensor for powered descent to see how far away they were. That sensor didn't work. They forgot to take off the safety switch which protects the worker's eyes on earth.

So they swapped their range finding sensor within a few hours while orbiting the moon with a completely different sensor that was on the vehicle as a technology test.

Thanks

Ask it to make paper clips.

I was going to say lifespan rejuvenation devices. But you are right, a simpler first test case is obviously superior.

So paperclips. As many as it can make.

We can request more useful constructions after it has demonstrated skill at that...
