few "commands" that id like to see: ls, cd, less (better reading), uname, echo. would be nice for sure! otherwise it seems some fonts are not really terminal-like. looks good and simple right now though.

i cant, was that supposed to be a joke? hilarious lol

just realized you asked for something different, and my comment above is on the wrong subject. either way, i dont know of any big library/toolchain/sdk for the wii not from dkP, so the chances of a loader different from hbc and not based on libogc are small, sadly.

i dont know of wii homebrew but in the nds space there is BlocksDS which is not part of devkitpro, and in gba space you can get (experimental) toolchains from wf-pacman (wonderful toolchain). sadly, the nintendo homebrew space is ruled by devkitpro, and i spent some time trying to find an alternative to it, but that doesnt seem to exist right now.

i was actually looking for an answer to a similiar question, so this thread is very much useful! as of now, i looked somewhat at odin

clangd, that is the extension. a lot better than the prioprietary trash microsoft pulls onto the store. open source, too.

same here, i daily drive linux on my phone, ditched the prioprietary OSs long ago

How are you dealing with companies that force you to use an Android app? There are so many services in daily life where people just expect me to have an Android/iPhone device. Those things are increasingly difficult to achieve in a different way.

Not the parent but I'll reply for myself. I have a Librem 5 as my personal phone which I take with me when I go places and use as my daily driver. I also have a Pixel running GrapheneOS with work and personal profiles for the few times I need to run an Android application but it more or less permanently stays at my desk. The Android applications I have on that phone are banking (required to use Zelle at my bank) and management applications for various devices (ex: managing settings on my bluetooth headphones). I don't need to use those often and when I do it can wait until I'm back at my desk where my GrapheneOS phone lives.

spoiler: i dont. i dont need to, simply. my bank can be accessed fully through the website, and that is how i use it. most services i have i use through email or some other form of interaction that does not require an app. i simply do not use these services, and thus i dont need to even have an app for them. if im lucky, it will work on waydroid, but i dont have a lot inside waydroid. so, yeah, it is easy for me as of now at least.

This is also my approach. I use the bank websites. If any dirty fiat banking cartel or other group try to force their app down my throat, I simply take my money and go elsewhere!

This is the only way we can solve this. $$$ is the only language these crooks understand.

still, nothing can replace macports for me, ever

I use Macports on my work Macbook, but I'd love for Portage prefix to be fully functional on ARM Mac, personally. The tool interface is just so much better.

on contrast, I have a 32bit macbook pro on snow leopard, so none of these shiny tools can be even remotely useful to me (sapphire being arm only? yeah, that)

CD-Rs are great, especially taiyo yuden

Out of business for awhile now.. I'd guess 90% or more CD-Rs made now are CMC. Ritek might still make some. There is also falconrak in UAE making them. At this point I am curious if anyone in Japan is still doing it... Does Memory-Tech in japan make recordable media??

Taiyo Yuden sold their process and tooling to CMC, and they're now sold as "CMC Pro" discs. I previously used JVC branded Japanese Taiyo Yuden discs. I switched to CMC Pro when I ran out, and haven't noticed any difference in quality.

To be clear, Taiyo Yuden sold their patents and manuf equipment to CMC Magnetics in Taiwan.

I never heard of Falcon Tech Int'l before today. I found info about their CD-Rs/DVD-Rs here: https://falconrak.com/product/products-matrix-2/

macos sonoma is a very high requirement...

I used SwiftUI :/

the official apple documentation [0] claims it is available to all macos systems 10.15 upwards, though

I added a new .dmg for Ventura+ install. Let me know how it goes. You can also clone and build yourself if you'd like

ah no, i cant actually do that, my osx is 10.6 snow leopard, would be hard to do it :) either way supporting as many versions of macos as possible is always good riddance
